I have windows 2008 server with Hyper V.

I created a new Virtual Machine and installed windows xp OS on it.

I have 2 nic cards on my host. Somehow windows xp does not see any nic
card. I checked in device manager of systems and dont see any network card.

Then I created another virtual machine and this time I installed windows
2008 server on it. It found the network card and working fine.

Can someone please tell me what am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Yes, the forum is the best place for this sort of question.

Server 2008 is "Hyper-V aware", so it can run under Hyper-V without any
add-ons. XP needs the integration components. XP need to be at SP2 or SP3
before these will install.
