Yes, it can be done. But if you fall back to the 32-bit version you will
need to use telephone activation since the product key will already have
been used to activate the 64-bit version.
On another note, unless you have a need to run the 64-bit version, don't
bother. There is no benefit to running it compared to 32-bit, and it's
quite more likely that the 32-bit version will be better supported by the
software and drivers you will need.
