Installing bundle of patches without restarting system

Hi,

I always download and install MS patches manually.
To many people are complaining about system
crashes if using win update.

Most of the patches require system restart.
Patch installation offers an option to disable
such reset.
Can I install an arbitrary amount of patches
without restarting system ?
Or is there any limit in amount of patches
to be installed this manner ?
Are there maybe some types of patches,
where I have to do the reset unconditional ?

Thanks for your link.
This is a general How-To document describing update process
on other basis the one used by me.
Furthermore specific questions of me (see thread start) are not answered
there.

You can find out what you need to know about the updates by reading the
monthly bulletins, also tells you now to install without a restart or
silently.
See also the individual Update KB articles –

For example –
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=XXXXXX
(NB: xxxxxx is the 6 numerical digits of the KB.

I use http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=816093
and this KB articles tells me about Restart Requirement, Removal Information
and Patch Replacement Information.
If you want to know more about particular security and other patches
released for a given month :
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms##-***.mspx
Replace ## with the two-digit year
Replace *** with the three character month abbreviation

Providing there are releases for that month, you will see the list of
"critical" "important" patches for that month
Check on the 2nd Tuesday of each month - later in the day.

Quite a bit of information is given in the monthly bulletin.
