Hi there, hoping someone can help me with this as I hesitate to instal the
latest Windows Live Messenger after the last miserable failure of 8.0 on my
PC. I really do want to have the latest msngr, it looks good but then so did
the last one till I tried to use it. I ended up going back to MSN Msngr 7.5
which I still have. My Q is, do I have to uninstall MSN 7.5 before
installing the latest Windows Live Msngr? Is there anything else I should
know before installing it? I had hoped there would be a Q & A section on the
Windows Live page but, alas, no! Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation.

Greetings,

No you don't, it's a direct upgrade. You can always switch back again if it doesn't meet
your qualifications.

Hi,

No problem. If you do encounter problems, please post about them as we might be able to do
something.
