installing problem

Hi Humanj,
I am having the same problem with NET Framework SP 1.1. I found an error
code 643. I have contacted Microsoft via email and they sent me whole list of
things to do. Basicly they were saying there is a corruption in the NET
program. Just got the email from them this morning. Don't have the time at
the moment to go through the instructions.

Possibility – Check in C:\Windows\inf directory for the file branches.inf.
Right click the file, check properties, and make sure that the read only box is not
checked.

Note that the inf folder is hidden and is directly under the Windows folder.
Quickest way to open is:
From Start/Run, type in the following exact text:
%windir%\inf
Then Press OK, and the folder will open.

my lst six auto updates have been three of the same eg: KB887742 and
three of KB890830 all within the past week. I have shut off auto updates.
Can anyone Help.
