installing same vista liscense on a second pc if old pc was stolen

my mac notebook with vista was recently stolen out of my car and i was
wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to void that install through
microsoft and install it on my new mac

Only if the thief agrees not to use Vista on the computer.

Your license generally goes with the original install/machine. The EULA
states that you must remove Vista from the original computer before you
install it on a different computer. Well, you can't do that. Claim Vista on
your insurance along with the computer.

Claiming for Vista may be a solution, but not always. I lost my ol
computer to bad weather about 2 months ago, and the insurance compan
only replaced the hardware. I suppose it really depends on who you
insurance carrier is..
