I downloaded a screen saver and installed it but it's not in the drop down
menu so I can't select it. I've tried to move it to the system 32 folder and
the wow64 (?) folder but it still doesn't show up. What am I missing? I'm
running vista 64 bit.

thanks for any help anyone can give.

Hello Emily,

You might see if the information in the Warning box at the link below
may help. If not, then you may have a bad screen saver.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/85...een-saver.html

Hope this helps some,
Shawn

Thank you for the information! I tried to reinstall it again and make sure
it was in the Windows file this time and it works! I think it was going into
the wrong folder.
Thanks so much!

Hi, I'm having this problem as well, and I'm seeing no resolution. The
program does not give the option to download to a specific file, but I
can preview the s/s when it's freshly installed. Afterward, it just
disappears. I'm also having this problem with three other screen savers.
The screen saver is the 3d Matrix Screen saver from
UselessCreations.com. Sorry to post in a necro thread, but I didn't want
to start a thread for a problem that's already been...addressed? If
anyone has any ideas, or would mind trying it themselves, Please let me
know. I can vouce that the website is legit, but the admin of the
website has not contacted me after over 4 weeks. Thanks for your time!

I save all my downloads to the downloads folder under the user name in
vista. I double-click it, and choose to install. Once I do that,
everything is automated from start to finish, so I basically just watch
it until it pulls up the screen saver menu where you can edit the
settings of the screen saver. The odd thing, is that if i uninstall it,
and then reinstall it, the same thing happens as always, but it
remembers my settings. What I meant by not being to save to a specific
file, was that once you install the program, it won't let you choose the
install location. That's why I suspect is the problem, but I can't
figure out how to fix it.

Does that thing WORK? If so, please find something else to fret
about.
