You must only use one OS..
Service Pack 4 would be the last revision of Service Pack for Windows 2000.

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.

Shenan:

Can't find out unless one asks.
Thank you.
But that still leaves Angel's question open.

Harry.

As I am afraid it will remain open, as the variables for a time include
services installed on the system, how busy the system is, how powerful the
system is, the method of install, etc..

In general, on a production machine, if it takes longer than an hour then
something is wrong.

It can also stall if system is infected or a service is running. SP4 for W2K
contains many security fixes and some require that no services (especially
AV) is running in the background. The best advice for installing the
service pack is to do it in Safe Mode where you will not have any variables
to deal with.
