Does any one know, if you order a SP CDRom from MS to
install on a computer, can you pick and choose the fixes
to install or is it generally a good idea to just install
the fixes even if they dont apply to you usage?

If you order the SP2 CD that's all you'll get - SP2; no other fixes/patches/
etc. So, therefore, there would not be anything for you to select.
