Installing a software

Hi Everyone,

I use the Microsoft VISTA on HP nootbook. I have a problem occured when i
want to install a software called GRE BIBLE.
During the installing it, it says
"An error occured while registering the file c:\windows\system32\flash.ocx"
And if i ignore it during the installation and after installation, if i try
to start the program, it says:
"Invalid root in registry key
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Policies\Explorer\UserId"

PLEASE PROVIDE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS AND REMEDY ON IT.

Try installing using compatibly option. Try using XP option.

Uninstall the program. Then go to start / control panel. In the search box
type compat select the item which appears and follow instructions.

hi everyone,

I seem to be facing the same problem that rawal did,
tried running the software using the xp compatibility option, but to n
luck, is there anything else i need to be doing? I tried contacting th
support team at grebible , but havent recieved a reply as yet. Woul
really appreciate your help on this , thanks in advanc

You can try earlier compatibility modes, but some software is just not going
to run until the vendor makes it compatible with Vista.

Hi,
I'm facing the similar rather same problem as of Rawal's..Couldn't run
GREBIBLE s/w after installing it in my Vista Home Premium(32bit).it's
throwing the same error as specified by Rawal--->
"Invalid root in registry key
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Policies\Explorer\UserId"
But I coudn't get help from the solution given here..In Control Panel
search nothing seems to come by typing "compat".....I urgently need the
s/w make run in my notebook.
Please give any solution..

Have you contacted the people who wrote and/or distributed the software to
see if it is Vista compatible and/or if they have released updates or
patches for Vista?
