Installing SP1 on WinVista Ultimate

Windows Update can't install the update it gives me the same error everytime,
plus now my OneCare is yellow, because of the failing update.

I tried downlaoding the update from TechNet directly but once it finished it
couldn't install the update because it says that my Windows has not been
installed with one of the five mayor languague packs (ex. english, german...)
when this is wrong.

My Windows has always being in english. What should I do???

Mine is a Windows Vista Ultimate.
