Installing updates for Windows

Whenever I try to install a new Windows update: Media player 10 or Direct X
9.0c or any other Windows update, I get a message saying installation failed
because it did not pass the Windows certification test. How can I fix this
problem??

Look for "When installing an update you receive the following message:
"Software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing""
