I am running Win xp pro. I tried to install Vista Ultimate 32bit. It
did not work. I have since discovered I should have installed to a
new HDD. Ok I am going to give it a try. What would like to know is,
can I have duel booting. Win xp and Vista
Thanks for any help.
Bob

Yes. If you already have XP installed then create another partition on your
hard drive (assuming you have enough room) and install Vista to the newly
created partition

You don't have to install it to a 'new HDD' obviously if you have another
hard drive then that is an advantage. The important thing is that you have
enough free space on your current drive to create a partition to install
Vista. My current XP partition is 50GB and my Vista partition is 100GB
(Vista is the operating system I use most)

Once Vista is installed you will find that when you boot your machine a menu
will appear giving you the option to boot into either XP or Vista.

Hi bob

dual booting xp/vista should be no problem either on separate drives o
partitions. Have a look at the tutorial here ..

'How to dual-boot Vista with XP (with XP installed first)
step-by-step guide with screenshots

Hope this help
