I have now downloaded vista RC1 twice and burnt it to dvd disc, but it still
won`t install ?
It gets to a very high percent ,sometimes 100%, then just stops and a
window say can`t install bad or corrupt files !!
Has anybody managed to instal vista , and is it worth it ?

Cheers
Rob

Are you using the download manager to download the file? When burning the
Image file to DVD use 2x write speed.

Hi Rob,

Format the partition to allow for Compressing of Files, before you
install Windows Vista. I had to do it.

Also, keyword BETA, make sure it is on a non-critical partition when
installing.

And use a DVD burning speed of 1x.

Hi Robbie

You may get a bigger response if you post in the proper groups for vista
betaware - see below.
The group you have arrived in is Windowsupdates
Are you a betware tester?
Do you have a spare computer on which to test vista beta?
If not are you prepared to accept periods of time where you will not be able
to use your computer?
What is your technical knowledge with regard to computers and their OS's.
If it is NO to any of the above then the below links may be of use to you -
or do not install betaware of any kind on your one and only computer in
particular.

I have a similar issue, no matter how many times i download the iso file with
or without the download manager the checksum doesn't match and i'm at a lose
for why this is except perhaps microsoft uploaded the wrong versions (RC1 x64)

I can burn the dvd and get to installation where it says expanding files
then i get the corruption error obviously because of the incorrect checksum
anyone know a way to ensure the files integrity?
