some time ago i installed SP2 on my ACi laptop. however after doing so some
programs (particularly those using graphics) caused the computer to reboot. i
had some diagnostics software on my computer and ran that. this caused the
computer to reboot during testing of the graphics. this version of SP2 could
not be uninstalled so i got rid by restoring to an earlier date. i recently
downloaded and installed it again as i'd been told some problems had been
fixed. unfortunately not mine and i got the same problem.

it's worth mentioning that i do not have my computer to restart on error.

i spoke to ACi who told me they had had some problems with the downloaded
version of SP2, but not when they used it off disk.

anyone any ideas? it's a particular problem now as i want an ipod and apple
tell me i must have SP2 installed for it to work.

cheers wayne

Order Windows XP Service Pack 2 on CD ( it's FREE, BTW )
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...s/default.mspx

Please read these helpful hints prior to installing SP2 :
