I also am having problems with these updates in Windows XP Home Edition!
I have tried system restore after they failed but to no good results.
I thought I remembered one of them succeeding but it was just the genuine
advantage update which installed just prior to them being attempted.
I will try and see if Windows XP Professional on this same machine will
install.
I happen to have Visual Basic installed on it which it needs the framework
updates to work to the fullest extent. Notice! these are REALLY NEW UPDATES
issued in the first three days of this week!
