Hello James,
If understand you correct you have the 2003 source disk and the SP2 on the
2008 server and create your slipstreamed disk? There shouldn't be an issue
with, because 2008 is only the platform and you do not use the 2008 files
themself.
What exact problem do you have? Also post error messages or event viewer
entries if exist.
