Hello,

I used the /integrate: switch on the server 2003 sp2 installation package
from a server 2008 machine, it ran and reported success. I am having some
issues now getting MDT 2008 to complete a build and capture sequence using
these source files and wanted to verify it is ok to do this from server
2008?

2k3 source files reside on 2k8 server, ran the sp2 package with integrate
switch from this same 2k8 server, reported success. OK? or known issues?

same thing only with 64bit version of all, 64bit 2k3 source files on a 64bit
2k8 server, ran 64bit 2k3 sp2 package with integrate switch from the 64bit
2k8 server, reported success. OK? or known issues?

Hello James,

If understand you correct you have the 2003 source disk and the SP2 on the
2008 server and create your slipstreamed disk? There shouldn't be an issue
with, because 2008 is only the platform and you do not use the 2008 files
themself.

What exact problem do you have? Also post error messages or event viewer
entries if exist.

Best regards

thanks for the reply... You basically let me know what I needed to know, as
for my issue I have not figured it out but instead started using a different
machine, with the same config, and its working. After I get done what I need
to I will go back to try to figure out the cause of that problem.

thank you!
