ok, under the advanced tab, make sure your settings read this, "onboard
PATA/SATA [ BOTH ] and the other one is SATA MODE [ AHCI ] that
should correct the problems you are having. then when you install vista i
recommend creating a new partion and leaving xp on your machine like i did
that way if you have problems with your vista as i have then you will be
able to use xp as a back up while u work with vista on the same machine, you
