Oh yes (as I said in tmessage title Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical
Mouse 4000) I downloaded that package that claimed to be for the mouse I
have. English, 32-bit.
It didn't seem to install drivers for the mouse it claimed to support.
When I try to update the HID compliant mouse driver, the Wireless Notebook
Optical Mouse 4000 was NOT in the list of drivers installed on my PC.

Is this the Wireless NOTEBOOK optical mouse 4000?
If it is there ARE Vista drivers (6.1).
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mo.../Download.mspx
Scroll down and this mouse is listed.
