IntelliType and IntelliPoint Fails to install

Microsoft Microsoft USB Dual Receiver Wireless Keyboard (IntelliType Pro)
Microsoft Microsoft USB Dual Receiver Wireless Mouse (IntelliPoint)

I have downloaded these updates but they fail to install. IE7 freezes but if
I hit the enter key it cancels.

I have Version 5.5 of the software installed. Can I manually install these?

Hi there,

Never take driver updates from Microsoft Windows updat, only download from
the manufacturers website and only if the current driver is giving problems:
if it ain't broke: don't fix it.

Since the hardware being updated is Microsoft hardware then who else would
be providing software updates other than Microsoft?

Update from MS update are usually outdated.

Meaning MS update driverdownloads: skip them.
As you can see more people are having problems with MS driver updates.
