Internal application error - Windows media player

When I'm trying to start the WMP 9 (I have XP PRO) I see message - Internal application error, and it'seven doesn't start. And I can't reinstall the WMP9, because uninstall impossible, as you know :0( What shall I do to make the WMP work?

Well, you can reinstall over the top actually, which is what I'd probably
