Internal Windows Update Server

I wanta run an internal Windows Update server to reduce some outbound
network traffic. I saw that SUS can handle the automatic updates function,
but I'd like to also redirect via dns all requests to
windowsupdate.microsoft.com. Does SMS do this or a third party application?

Hi

Nope. What you can do is disable the Windows Updates functionality
all together (SUS/Automatic Updates will still work).

This will also somewhat affect the user experience for SUS where
the user is a local admin.
