INTERNET AND TASKBAR SCREWED

After installing SP2 my internet will no longer connect. I use Norton 2004
and r-clicking and disabling the firewall grants me access to the internet,
re-enabling bans it all from me, though at first my Liveupdate was still
getting thru. I thought the issues must have been Norton until I restarted
and now only 4 of my 11 icons show up in my taskbar and my hd does a bunch of
stuff and things seem to be slower, what a garbage SP release...my norton
antivirus pic will show up but not firewall in the taskbar. If I run norton
firewall from anti-virus or my start menu it will show it and then an icon
will add itself to the taskbar. This is so messed up I cant exen begin to
explain how lame this is. I installed this on my 8100 dell laptop and
everything was fine, minus the re-install of my codecs, but the dell 8200 ( i
think, its a newer comp anyways) is all screwed. The install it said was
completed successfully. Help me, help me pls!!! I have defragged, 1 button
check-up'd, and virus scanned and thats all fine so the problem is either
Norton or the SP2 update or both.

Go to Symantec to get their update for using NAV with XP SP2.
