Hi,
Is the time interval fairly consistent? This could indicate a faulty network
card, or supporting driver. Downloading and installing a more recent driver
release from the network card maker would be the first step.
You might also try running the following from an elevated command prompt*.
Make sure any program that uses an internet connection (web browser, email
program, etc.) is closed first.
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
You will get a successful message after each. If not, post back with which
one fails. Otherwise, close the command prompt and reopen web programs.
*To get an elevated command prompt, click start and type cmd. Right click
the entry that appears in the start menu and choose 'run as administrator'.
