Internet connection lasts only one minute

After I installed windows SP2, I found that the internet connection lasts
only around the first one minute. The IE then had no repsonse to connect and
the same to Outlook express. But the broadband connection status remained
normal without disconnection. I tried to turn the firewall on and off but
nothing changed.

Is there anything I can try to resume the normal connection?

have you tried right-clicking on the connection and selecting "Rapair" to
try to repair the connection.
That may do the job, but if it doesn't (it didn't for me last time i tried)
try...

Check to see if you have Norton Personal Firewall, Norton Antivirus, or
Norton Internet Security installed. If so try un-installing them. I have
found this to be a BIG problem, especally with Version 2003. I do not know
where the problem lies but somehow Norton can lock people out of their
connection.


If that STILL doesn't work try this last procedure.

Try uninstalling and re-installing the network card.
I reccommend you first download the drivers for your card from your
computers manufaturer, just in case the ones on the compter are somehow
corrupt.

Right-Click on My computer and select "Properties"
Click on the "Hardware" tab.
Click on device manger
hit the + next to "Network adapters"
Un-install your network cards by right-clicking and selecting "Uninstall" on
each card.

AND IF THAT STILL DOESN'T WORK...
