information bar stating " your current security settings prohibit running
ActiveX controls on this page. As a result the page may not display properly"

this bar keeps popping up especially when i log into Hotmail. i find this
extremely irritating. Please help to resolve this problem. thank you!!

How does one disable MS' pop up blocker or does it come disabled by default?

How to configure the Pop-up Blocker in Internet Explorer

How to turn on the Pop-up Blocker
Note By default, the Pop-up Blocker is turned on. You may only have to turn it
on if it is turned off.

The Pop-up Blocker may be turned on in the following ways:
a.. When you are prompted.
b.. On the Tools menu.
c.. From Internet Options.
When you are prompted
You can turn on the Pop-up Blocker when you are prompted to do this before the
first pop-up window appears.
On the Tools menu
To turn on the Pop-up Blocker on the Tools menu, follow these steps:
1.. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
2.. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Turn On Pop-up
Blocker.
From Internet Options
To turn on the Pop-up Blocker from Internet Options, follow these steps:
1.. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
2.. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
3.. Click the Privacy tab, and then select the Block pop-ups check box.
4.. Click Apply, and then click OK.

BUT....that DOES NOT turn it off for me. It STILLS blocks the
pop-ups.
