This error message when attempting IE6 updates or installation is
commonly associated with the presence of malware on the system.
"ie6wzd.exe - Entry Point Not Found: The procedure entry point
InternetGetConnectedState could not be located in the dynamic link
library wininet.dll"
Best to scan at these sites to determine if this is the case :
Patch Management Software-Spyware Test
http://www.auditmypc.com/patch-manag...-software-.asp
Panda ActiveScan - Free online scanner
http://www.pandasoftware.com/actives..._principal.htm
Put a check mark next to " Detect unknow viruses (heuristic)" before
you scan.
or
RAV AntiVirus - Scan Online
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/indexie.php
Put a check mark next to " Autoclean " before you scan.
If you can not access those sites, download Mwave :
http://www.mwti.net/antivirus/free_utilities.asp
Put a check mark next to " Scan all files ". Then click Scan.
( DO NOT PUT A CHECK MARK NEXT TO DRIVES OR FOLDER. It will turn
into nagware if it finds malware and ask that you purchase it to
clean your system. )
