Internet Explorer 6 128-bit and KB889293 64-bit update

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows if it's normal to have install error
for KB889293 that's a 64-bit version update for IE 6 and I have the 128 bit
version? Wouldn't Microsoft Update know when it checks my pc that the bits
are not right? I tried to down load it separate to install and said something
about the unpacking file was the wrong one once it wanted to install, then it
ended...probably thankfully. So should I be worried about not having KB889293
64-bit update then? Do I still need a 128-bit update? What would be that
service pack #?

Sheesh. Everybody sure is worried about pirated software though and mine is
authenticated. WTF? A simple answer is only required, I'm holding anybody
responsible for a failed update, sheesh.

You may be mixing up to different factors here:

128bit relates to the cipher strength, the encryption level of SSL sites.
64bit relates to the Windows version.
