Internet Explorer 6 doesn't get along with any toolbar!!!

Recently, I downloaded IE 6 and updated my browser from my IE 5.5.

Now the first problem is, since i did so, the browser does not redirect me
when needed.

For instance, on the web page it says "A security message will shortly
appear on our screen" but my browser remains still without taking any
further action. Or the same thing happnes when on the web page it says: "This
page will automatically redirect you to here."

Also, there is this second problem which is quite annoying. Everytime i
download a toolbar, no matter what, it disappears the second time i open my
browser. I tried looking for it in "View/Toolbar" but the toolbar I
downloaded just doesn't seem to be active!! Interestingly enough, every
toolbar i download works the first time I open IE6 but as soon as i close the
browser window and open it again, no sign of that toolbar!!! Also funny that
in "Control Pannel/Add or remove softwares" the toolbar appears as an
installed and fully funcional software!!!

I'm honestly tired of trying to solve this problem, I've done everything I
could, and I'm so clueless and frustrated now. So I would really appretiate
if anybody professional helps me out with this...
