Internet Explorer 6 repair - HELP!!

Does anyone know how to repair IE 6.0? I have apparently contracted some
major pop-up that has taken over IE. All I get is "about.blank" in the
address bar and it won't let me connect to any sites or even use my DSL
connection, even though it is working. I need to repair it, delete and
reinstall it or do something to get rid of this thing that has attached
itself to IE. I am an XP SP2 user. If I can't get to the internet, I can't
download SP2 again - HELP.

It sounds like you got hit with some spyware. Do you have any spyware
checkers on your computer? Go to this site http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/
follow the suggestions on how to get rid of spyware. You probably have to
download and install hijackthis to get rid of you browser hijacker.
