Windows XP pro sp 3
Internet Explorer 6
Outlook Explorer 6

I would like to continue with Outlook Explorer 6, is it possible if I
download and
start using Internet Explorer 7, or if I would do the same with Internet
Explorer
8.
What would be the advantages with 7, what would be the disadvantages,
rather
than using Internet Explorer 6
Also I would like to know the pro's and con's using Internet Explorer 8

Or am I better off staying with Internet Explorer 6

Outlook *Express* 6 is on your XP machine to stay. Using IE7 or IE8 will not
change that. IE7 & IE8 are more secure than IE6, but I'll leave that part up
to the IE experts.

It's Outlook Express, not Outlook Explorer. And, yes, you can keep OE6 and
run Internet Explorer 8.

Ok, I mean Outlook Express 6.
Now the questions remain the same.
I know that I can download Internet Explorer 8 but that was not the
question.
What are the pro's and con's to do such a thing?

IE 8 has much improved security over IE 6 and IE 7. That alone is reason
enough to upgrade.

I tried IE8 and found that some extensions no longer opened correctly in OE,
so I reverted back to IE7.

There are no cons. I don't know that there are any pros either, but cons
would be a problem, and there are none.

I use IE8 and OE6 on a machine running XP Pro, SP3.
