Internet Explorer acting up

I've never done this before... so you will all have to bare with me. But I
have noticed that everytime I use Internet Explorer, it skips letters as I'm
typing. I have to type slow and really pay attention to get everything I am
trying to type. I'm not really sure why this happened. It worked great for a
while and then all of a sudden one day it would skip letters as I was
typing.

Can anyone help me figure out what's going on???

Thanks for the help!

Checked all the obvious things ?
Plugs all firmly plugged in ? If cordless / radio / infra-red keyboard
and/or mouse - all batteries in good condition ?
Receiver in a good position ?

I am going to have to get to know you a little better before I "bare"
with you. Maybe dinner first, then a quiet walk along the shore...

I've seen this in Windows in varying programs, on varying machines.
Dell used to have this issue a little more than most. It's sometimes
caused by other programs running in the background chewing up
resources.

However, is it only IE that's the problem? Are you running IE7 or IE8?

The Dell Vostro 200 I just replaced hd and PCIe graphics card on, during a
couple of sessions on it, (Vista Home Premium), I noticed a couple of spells
of heavy hard-disk activity. Didn't have time to hunt through application
programs, registry HKLM / HKLU "Run" items, etc. So here's hoping it was
Vista's hd file indexer ...which I could have turned off but, didn't !
Didn't seem to impact on normal usage, program load time, kb response speed
etc.

regards, Richard
