Hello Rick,
You might check your Startup programs list to see if you can spot the
the startup item for this add-on and disable it. It sounds like the
add-on may be trying to run something as administrator at startup and
needs your permission through UAC to do so.

You could also check in IE7 to see if disabling the add-on or resetting
IE7 may help as well.
