Each time I login I get a message from the internet explorer add-on installer
trying to install something and asking to continue. I press 'continue' and
nothing happen after. I have noticed that if there is no wireless network or
internet connection the message doesn't pop up.

In the details there is the key :

BDB57FF2-79B9-4205-9447-F5FE8537312

My system is a sony vgn-fw285 laptop with vista 64 bits that I have only
since 1 week. After running different update and removing different bloatware
I start getting this.

It looks like I have probably installed something without using the
administrative. My last option is to restore the laptop but I would
appreciate to avois that.

How can I remove that popup ?

Hello Rick,

You might check your Startup programs list to see if you can spot the
the startup item for this add-on and disable it. It sounds like the
add-on may be trying to run something as administrator at startup and
needs your permission through UAC to do so.

You could also check in IE7 to see if disabling the add-on or resetting
IE7 may help as well.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
