Internet explorer about:blank crash

I keep having a problem with Internet Explorer that I can't seem to figure
out. Everytime i try to close a window the title turns into about:blank and
then I get an error saying the program is not responding and I can End it Now
or cancel. It then wants to send an error report. It's getting pretty
annoying, so if anyone could help I'd appreciate it.
