Internet Explorer SP 1

I am trying to set up IE SP1 (Afther I download from MSN) but it's
impossible, there is a message that says: "Setup was unable to download
information about available instalation sites, set up may have unable to use
your current proxy server settings, click advance if you know your proxy
setting"
The point is I have not a proxy in my conputer. I have a LAN.
So.. What can I do?

Were you able to use Windows Update before at this same
location?

It is possible that your computer is not "listening" on
ports 80 and 443. Is this LAN inside your house or at
work? If at work, I suggest you ask your administrator if
he has closed ports.

If this is at home, you might need to consult your ISP.
