Internet Explorer 7 stops working when I close it, then it restarts.
This is a regular problem. I have copied the error report. It look
like a kernal32.dll problem, but I would welcome comments and advice.

Probably an addon/plugin. Click start and type 'internet explorer'. One of
the menu options will be to run it without addons, select this mode and see
if the problem ceases. If so, then you need to go into the Control
Panel/Internet Options/Programs tab and click the button the manage addons.
Disable those that are loading with Internet Explorer.

I've had a look at the menus.
I can disable and enable addons one by one.
But I can't find the option to run without adddons.

Can you advise?

Thanks

Hi,

When you click start and type "internet explorer" (wihtout the quotes) into
the search line, you should see two entries (three in x64) under programs at
the top of the menu, one appended with (no addons). Do you not see this?

Hi, Thanks for responding.

I managed to find the link in accessories - tools.

I ran Internet Explorer without addons. It looked very stark, but I
noticed on closing that IE did not crash (which was my problem).

I have done a little experimenting and it maybe that one of my
toolbars is corrupted.

I am now working with this toolbar disabled.

I'll get back with the result.

Thanks again.

Sp.

Ps. All of my addons have names, except one:

B205A35E-1FC4-4CE3-818B-8...

Any idea what this does (it does not appear to cause a problem)

Hi Species,

You may have a bad add-on installed in IE7 that is causing this. This
tutorial will show you how to check and fix this if this is the case.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

My problem was caused by a corrupted toolbar.

I disabled it and the the problem has now disappeared.

I will get a new toolbar and install it and should not have any
further problems - I hope

Thanks to all

Best wishes.

If you Check for Solutions using the Problem Reports and Solutions Center
control panel, what fault bucket is this?

This generally appears to be a third party toolbar issue.

Try to reset the IE. Or Try to disable all add-ons. Or Right click on IE
& then click on run without add-ons & check if that fixes the issue.
