Hi there,

I recently downloaded SP1 for my Windows XP. In addition, I also installed
Messenger. Some time after I did so, I realized that if I tried to use
"View|View Source", it wouldn't work anymore;, also, my IE Help keeps
displaying Error messages, saying that an error has occured in the scripts.
I tried to uninstall IE, through "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control Panel,
but it can't even find the application. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Andy

This is not a problem i believe. It is to do with the script settings
modification in SP1. You have installed .NET framework by installing SP1.
So any web application developed using .NET framework may not be viewed as
source code directly from IE. In the tools menu go to options\Advanced.
Modify the script functionality there. Or you can modify security settings
if you want to view source code of an intranet site.
To uninstall IE to to Add Remove programs in control panel and Additional
windows components page in that screen. You can unselect IE in that screen.
But i dont think uninstalling your IE can solve your problem. Better learn
how scripts are handled in your PC after installing SP1 and with firewall in
SP2.
Good luck
