When double clicking, or right mouse clicking, on IE it doesn't always open,
so we make several attempts and what we've found is that it's running in the
background someone every time we've clicked on it, but doesn't open so we can
use it. Does that make sense? I am set up on auto updates and just did it
successfully manually. What can I do to fix this? Thx

Windows version? Your question as it pertains to Windows Update?

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

XP ... is the what you wanted to know? We can't open IE and attempts cause it
to run in background. Updates are working but didnt' fix the problem. I know
prev message was confusing now tht I've re-read. I will check this link out &
let you know what I learn. (http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) Thanks
so much!
