Thanks Cari for looking at it.
Initially my computer was connected to cable modem directly and the IP
address I was getting was allocated by Comcast. Then I tried it behind a
wireless router and IP address now is allocated by Belkin router. The current
IP address it shows is 192.168.2.80 with subnet 255.255.255.0 and default
gateway 192.168.2.1. In both cases it is configured for DHCP.
PS: I have two other computer with WinXP connected to same router and
everything is working fine on those.
