      12-21-2008
In my Temporary Internet Files and History Settings I keep changing my disk
space storage from 50MB to 250MB but
it keeps changing back to 50MB.
Help Please

Hi Mike, try running IE at elevated Admin Privileges to see if that is
your problem.

Did you move the folder from it's default location ???

Wouldn't make it do that. Mine is somewhere else and I can set it to
whatever I want.

That's my take as well. The only thing I can think is UAC or something
is preventing registry changes. Some AV programs will prevent registry
changes by browsers as an protection measure.

Where does the location of the file exist. Is it the same as on the Settings page in
IE\Properties\General\Temporary Internet Files\Settings

Have you tried running IE with elevated privileges (don't do this all
the time as you are asking for trouble from the nasties) and changing
the temporary files storage space in Tools. This change involves a
registry change and your administrator privileges may not be high enough
as a normal user. You could also switch off UAC in your user profile to
make the change. I recommend you turn it on again, but thats up to you
