Internet Time Service Sychronization

Okay, I have a Dell laptop with Windows Vista. I've tried many of the
suggestions in this group to get the internet time service sychronization.
I've entered the various sites into the Trusted Sites list - still didn't
work. I've added various SNTP sites - still didn't work. I've researched
other programs, but my research indicates they are not required for Windows
XP or Windows Vista. So I am all out of ideas...is there anyone out there
who can solve this problem? Is there some other configuration item I need to
tweak? Is there an additional switch that must be flipped?

Are you running a firewall that could possibly be stopping this from
accessing the internet? What about a router that is blocking it? I just
sync my time with the internet to several sites and I had no issue. Also is
it that the time is going slow? That could be due to a dying CMOS battery.
Could also be because of the time in your BIOS is off as well.

The Internet Time Tab is not available for me.
Does connecting to a domain server change this?
How can I get this tab to appear

Hi orkel,

Welcome to Vista Forums. arty:

On a domain network, the domain administrator may have set a setting to
block it. You will need to ask him or her if they did.

Sorry,
Shawn

Hi Brink

Thanks for the welcome and quick response
This is a small network I have at home. Server is 2003 Std. Nothing
special
There is no policy enabled to not show this. Actually I noticed the tab
not being available before I joined my Vista x64 to the domain.
I was just wondering if there was a way to show the tab, so I can use
internet time to keep my PC correct.

Thanks for your assistance

orkel,

After doing some research on Google, I found this:

> controllers.
> Windows Time Service on a domain controller can be configured as either

'Microsoft Corporation'

and

'Win Time Client' (http://www.beaglesoft.com/clwaw32time.htm)

I do not have any experience on domains, so I hope this can help.
