Invalid Instant Messaging Address

I'm trying to add a Hotmail contact as a Windows Live Contact and I ge
a comment back that the email address is invalid for Instant Messaging
Is there a list of valid email domains somewhere? I know that Hotmai
and Live are okay

Greetings,

I'm a bit confused, is what you're adding a @hotmail account, or are you simply trying to add
them in Hotmail?

Also the exact message you're seeing would be helpful to. Although there are some domains
and IDs that aren't allowed by the service, but they wouldn't be Live IDs anyway.

Hi, I have an existing contact in Hotmail. the email address i
xxxx.wanadoo.fr. In Windows Live I edit contacts to add them and ente
the email address I have as the Instant Messaging Address. It then says

"The contact could not be sent to the server because the instan
messaging address is invalid" .... so here I'm stuck
