Hi, I have clients using live messenger behind a whitelisting proxy, ie. they
can only go to Internet sites which I specifically allow. I am having
difficulty pinning down the complete list of sites which messenger needs to
talk to.
So far, I have the following:
152.163.241.0/24
207.46.1.0/24
207.46.107.0/24
207.46.108.0/24
207.46.110.0/24
207.46.26.0/24
207.46.27.0/24
64.12.163.0/24
64.4.13.0/24
gateway.messenger.hotmail
config.messenger.msn.com
I keep seeing new IP addresses in my deny logs. Does anyone have a complete
list of the messenger IP addresses?
On a side note, it would be nice if there was a DNS resolution for all these
hosts, so I could just allow *.messenger.msn.com or similar. It is annoying
having to specify actual IP addresses.
Thanks,
Gavin
