Hi,

We are installing the SQL 2005 in the Windows 2003 Cluster with IP below.

Node1 - Public IP - 192.168.1.1
Private IP - 10.0.0.1
Node2 - Public IP - 192.168.1.2
Public IP - 10.0.0.2
Cluster IP - 192.168.1.3

What should be the IP for SQL 2005 Virtual Server??????

if this is an active passive cluster then your clients should be
configured to connect to 192.168.1.3

Hi Dawho,
How many NIC are on your servers, you need to first choose the NIC(local
area connection) which has the IP address for your public network. The
address must be available on the network.

Herbert,

Another thing which I need to mention how ip address in the range 192.168.x.x
becomes a public ip address, unless you are using a proxy server or NAT server
to connect to the public network(internet).

just a thought!!!

Regards
mil.
