Hi Enrique,
If your battery has drained out, you iPAQ is reset to its factory default
state. You will need to recreate a partnership since the old partnership
information is lost from the device and hence the desktop is unable to
recognize it. You mention you are unable to transfer data... does
Activesync display any error message when you connect the device to the
computer ??
Most data and settings on your iPAQ will be lost except for the PIM
information and files (if you were synchronizing files) that are still
available on your computer. After successfully establishing a partnership,
copy the contents of the old synchronization folder into the new one. The
PIM information available on the desktop will get synchronized to the
device. If you had any third party software on the device, you will need to
be reinstalled on the device.
