Hi,
I have a rx3715. When I first got it in August, I had no problems installing
Active Sync 3.7. When I tried to Sync it with my desktop PC yesterday it
wouldn't work. I deleted the Active Sync 3.7 and installed Active Sync 3.8
but I have problems installing it. It gets to the screen that asks for the
mobile to be connected to the PC. This I do and the PC installs it and I
click next on the connection screen. The Active Sync then goes to a
connection screen with a little green circle which is revolving and that is
as far as it gets. The connecting message just continues. I know that
somewhere I have set up a partnership but the install doesn't reach that
screen.
Any help would be gratefully received.

regards,

Ian.

Hi Ian,

Try connecting after performing a soft reset. If that doesn't help,

* Are you using any firewall software?
* Open ActiveSync -> File -> Mobile Device, does it show you any device
name?

Hi Raj,

I have uninstalled ZoneAlarm. I have unloaded all running apps. I have
tried a soft reset. I have tried installing Active Sync in Safe Mode. All
with the same result.

The Active Sync File dropdown shows all items blanked out.

I have just successfully installed the rx3715 and Active Sync on my Dell
Inspiron 6000 without any problems.

Figure something must be amiss with my Windows XP on my desktop. Maybe it's
time for a format and re-install. Got a free weekend this weekend. Wish me
luck <BG>.

regards,

Ian.
