IPOD - System Administrator

Hi,

I have received a lovley iPOD nano from my wife for Christmas but to use it
I need to download the Apple iPOD website. When I have gone through the
process of download I get a message at the ned stating as follows;
"The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation"

It is my computer and I presume that I am that administrator. Can anyone
help me as to how I allow that policy to become obselete?
