Issue with Security update 834707 (UPDATE)

Hi All,

Recently I have updated my system (Windows XP SP2) with security update
KB834707. Ever since my Windows Update would freze my system.

Here is the steps I did to over come this issue:

Start, Run %Windir%\Softwaredistribution
Delete contents of folder 'DataSource' (DON NOT DELETE THE FOLDER)
Turn off Windows firewall or 3rd party firewall
Run windows update (The system should allow download, initialization and
instaltion this time)
Dpending on the type of updates you may have to reboot the system
Turn on Windows firewall after the completion of all windows updates.

This worked on my system. Hope the same may help some of you as well.
