If you can access the Run line from Start, then try running the command
shown under ' Use the hidden $NtServicePackUninstall$ folder '
If you can navigate the OS using Windows Explorer/My Computer, then open
the
C:\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst
subfolder and run spuninst.exe
Otherwise you will have to use Recovery Console to uninstall SP2.
STRONGLY suggest you read these prior to reinstalling it as SP2 is, in
reality, another Version of XP and not just another update:
