Issues with KB925902 and Win2000

Has anyone experienced a problem with their machine after they applied
925902 on a Windows 2000 Professional (SP4) machine? Ever since it
was applied on mine, I have been having real problems with Norton
AntiVirus. Just after my Norton Internet Security software loads and
indicates that my system is running correctly, I get an error stating
that the CCAPP.exe program encountered an error and will be shut down
by Windows. The CCAPP.exe program is a common component used by
Norton AntiVirus. Once this happens, I am dead. Email (MS Outlook)
cannot connect to my ISP's mail server, Word just wont work and I
cannot even shut the machine down with resorting to holding down the
power button.

Any answers/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem. We have Windows 2000 SP4. All other MS patches are
up-to-date. Norton Internet Security 2006 is also 100% updated.

At this point, I have uninstalled KB925902 and I'm looking for solutions
for the Norton issue. Maybe on Tuesday they'll release a more stable patch.
In the meantime, I'm avoiding this one.

They will be offering up a hotfix but not a new patch.

Hi

I have exactly the same problem with Norton IS 2006 - is there yet a fix -
With one machine it appears to have got thru' the problem(newer machine with
AMD64 and newish Motherboard) - on older machine have had to remove Kb
625602 in order fro machine to run.............
